Period 6 is a horizontal row of the periodic table with 32 elements, from Cesium (atomic number 55) to Radon (atomic number 86). Every element in the row has 6 occupied electron shells. Period 6 is the first 32-element period: after cesium and barium it detours through the fourteen 4f lanthanides before finishing the 5d and 6p subshells with metals such as tungsten, platinum, gold and lead.
